## Bari Ziperstein: The Right Pair

- When: On view through Dec 05
- Run: Oct 30 – Dec 05, 2026

Charles Moffett is pleased to present The Right Pair , an intimately-scaled exhibition of new sculptures by the Los Angeles-based artist Bari Ziperstein. Occupying the front spaces of the gallery, the show marks the first time the artist has exhibited variable editions. Working in ceramics over the past 20 years, Ziperstein has developed an artistic mastery of the medium. Her rigorous and ambitious approach pushes the perceived limits of scale, form, construction, color and finish to create hand-painted sculptures of tremendous technical and ideological complexity. Materially experimental and conceptual at its core, much of the artist’s practice has engaged ideas of consumerism, propaganda, and the built environment.

## Maggie Ellis: Chaos Bewitched

- When: On view through Dec 05
- Run: Oct 30 – Dec 05, 2026

Charles Moffett is pleased to present Chaos Bewitched , a solo exhibition of new paintings by New York-based artist Maggie Ellis. This marks Ellis's fourth solo exhibition at Charles Moffett and her first since 2023. Taking its title from a phrase used in Herman Melville’s epic novel Moby-Dick , Chaos Bewitched brings together 20 new paintings that teem simultaneously with life and rot. Space is dense with figures both corporeal and ghostly, with the living often indistinguishable from the dead. The resulting compositions comprise a witches' brew that conjures the painter's eternal question: What if?
