Nemo Jantzen is a Dutch multimedia artist born and raised in The Hague and currently based in Barcelona. Drawing inspiration from his career and education in cinema, photography, advertising, and mass media, Jantzen is most known for his neo-pointillist technique in which he assembles thousands of miniature photographic images encapsulated in glass spheres into striking portraits. From a distance, his compositions appear as cohesive, photorealistic images; upon closer inspection, they reveal an intricate mosaic of individual photographs, each contributing to a larger visual narrative. Through this dynamic, Jantzen examines how the imagery that permeates pop culture shapes our perceptions of beauty, identity, and reality. “Look Again” invites viewers to reconsider what is familiar, revealing the complexity beneath the surface of the images we encounter every day.
