For this Artists at Work talk, ISCP artist-in-residence Jessica Segall will be joined by scholar Heather Davis. Segall will introduce her artistic practice and speak with Davis about themes of extraction, porosity, and expanded forms of kinship. Together, they will reflect on shared questions emerging from their individual research on the energy and plastics industri es, exploring how queer material relationships and erotic resistance offer new ways of thinking about the precarious conditions of our world. A Q&A with the audience will follow.
