When I visited New Orleans many years ago, I was charmed by the color and lovely details of the small houses I saw. Upon visiting recently, I was determined to photograph them.

## Jorge Luis Monteagudo: Low Tide

- When: On view through Nov 29
- Run: Nov 04 – Nov 29, 2026

My latest work, Low Tide is based in the areas known as the New Jersey Meadowlands, where I grew up. For years I would drive by this great marshland, located right outside NYC, in perhaps one of the most industrialized zones in the country. So, one day I grabbed my Kayak and decided to go exploring, and that decision changed my life in profound ways. Most of these images were made during low tide, when the landscape feels most active and exposed. Rather than documenting the specifics; the photographs seek to capture motion—light, water, and the quiet, powerful interactions within nature itself. This work is dedicated to those who fight to protect our natural resources. Without their commitment, places like this and the experiences they make possible would not endure.

## Margaret Fox: Otherworldly

The Pentagon has released numerous files dating back to the 1940’s on Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) and Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs). The declassified records include unexplained still images, videos, and eyewitness accounts from commercial pilots, as well as records from NASA, the FBI, the CIA, and the Air Force.

Shimmering, glowing, casting mysterious shadows, reflecting and transforming the ordinary… the subject is LIGHT!

## Michael Schenker: Strangers in the Park 3

Strangers in the Park 3 is the continuation of a series of 4x5 black and white portraits of total strangers, predominantly taken in Washington Square Park and in the UK. I began the project in the summer of 2024.

## Richard Alan Cohen: Silver Light

- When: On view through Nov 29
- Run: Nov 04 – Nov 29, 2026

I’ve been fascinated by beaver bogs for a long time, in part because they are far off the beaten path. The surrounding forests were clear cut for fuel and farming almost 200 years ago, but because they are waterlogged, these bogs have changed little since they were first dammed up by beavers, hundreds or even thousands of years ago. They are now in danger of drying up. These creatures are responsible for a continuous turnover of trees and plants in a uniquely rich environment that supports themselves and other animals. Beavers have notoriously poor eyesight, and are thought to perceive only blue and yellow. My muted, duo-toned images of their habitat imitate the beaver’s unique vision. They are printed on the thinnest translucent Japanese gampi tissue to reflect the fragile, precious, and threatened beavers’ environment. The prints are backed with metallic leaf, so that the light diffuses through the delicate paper, mirroring the silver light that I experienced in beaver bogs on many early mornings.

## Viktor Koen: Bestiary

- When: On view through Nov 29
- Run: Nov 04 – Nov 29, 2026
- Source: https://www.sohophoto.com/2026/11/01/viktor-koen-bestiary/

Bestiary is the product of a long fascination with Greek mythology and late 19th century photography. Based on hybrid creature descriptions and influenced by religious iconography, this is a series where myth meets social criticism by molding monstrous archetypes into contemporary commentary. Most importantly, the beasts here, go beyond their typically singular dimension and assume complex, tragic personalities in which monsters and heroes become difficult to tell apart.
