The exhibition features Full Circle (2023), Simmons' suite of eleven mixed-media paintings, selected by MTA Arts & Design for a glass art commission at the new Jamaica Bus Depot in Queens. Also exhibited are seventeen recent paintings and works on paper completed during the final years of his life. Through vibrant abstraction, layered textiles, and expressive mark-making, Simmons explores themes of ancestry, identity, memory, and belonging, affirming art's enduring power to foster connection across cultures and generations.

## Ron Morosan: Circular Causality

- When: Opens Nov 19, on view through Jan 09, 2027
- Run: Nov 19, 2026 – Jan 09, 2027

Westwood Gallery NYC is pleased to present Circular Causality , curated by James Cavello. The exhibition explores reality as a continuous exchange between perception, experience, and environment through recent paintings by Ron Morosan, an American artist, writer, educator, and curator. Over four decades, Morosan has developed a distinctive visual language that brings geometric forms, ambiguous figures, and disparate cultural references into layered, open-ended compositions. His paintings create a space of exchange between artist, artwork, and viewer, where associations emerge, shift, and give way to new possibilities. Rather than directing the viewer toward a fixed meaning, Morosan’s work invites an active process of looking and interpretation, in which meaning remains fluid and each encounter offers the potential for new connections.
