ELE HOWELL - Drums Born and raised in Northern California’s Bay Area, Elé Salif Howell began drumming at age two. He studied with pianist Art Khu and in the Oaktown Jazz Workshops in Oakland. He apprenticed with drum master Lenny White and tours regularly with NEA Jazz Master saxophonist Gary Bartz, Ravi Coltrane and Chief Adjuah (FKA Christian Scott). Elé has also performed and recorded with Brandee Younger, Weedie Braimah, Stanley Clarke, Alain Pérez, among others. His father, Richard Howell, has been a major influence and collaborator throughout his career. Elé continues to write his own music, perform regularly around the world, and teach. This event is All Ages Seating is first-come, first-served; the last 10 spots in the room are standing room. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. WE ARE UNABLE TO ACCOMMODATE SWITCHING SETS OR DAYS.
