Learn the basics of graphic design through hands-on, analog collage-making. Participants will explore composition, typography, color, and visual hierarchy using a curated selection of vintage prints and ephemera. Emphasizing experimentation and personal expression, the workshop invites participants to layer, mask, and assemble a unique collage work. All materials are provided, and no prior design experience is required. At the conclusion of the workshop, participants may take their finished piece home or choose to have it mailed to a recipient of their choice. About the Instructor: Jordan Hill is a San Francisco–educated artist, currently living and working in New York’s energetic East Village. His work specializes in all things design: print, photo, and collage. Ranging in vibrance and color, his technique explores life’s everyday imagery into physical form through zines and personalized handheld creations. Alongside his studio practice, Jordan works extensively with the skate brand FTC, contributing graphic design and filmmaking that reflects the brand’s raw ethos. He has been editor of wheneveryouwantto magazine since 2017 and is currently working on his ninth issue. His group exhibitions have been featured in San Francisco, Berlin, Croatia, and Tokyo.
