TLAB SHARES HOSTS The Lucky Ones by Lia Romeo Directed by Katie Birenboim Produced by Boomerang Theatre Company Get Tickets In THE LUCKY ONES, Lia Romeo delivers a sharply observed, emotionally resonant new play about the complexities of female friendship in a shifting world. Vanessa is confronting a devastating illness. Janie is beginning a new romance. As lifelong best friends, they’ve shared everything—until their lives begin to pull them in different directions. With wit, honesty, and deep compassion, Romeo examines what it means to show up for each other when the stakes are highest, and how societal expectations of women shape—and strain—even our closest bonds. FEATURING: Purva Bedi*, David Carl* and Danielle Skraastad* *Actor appearing courtesy of Actors Equity Association Illustration by Kerri Boccard Boomerang Theatre Company is committed to captivating diverse audiences with bold, thought-provoking stories. We produce distinctive works – new, classic, or overlooked – that explore the depths of human experience through compelling characters and engaging narratives. Our focus is on fostering a deep connection between artists and audiences, challenging the perceived limitations for an Off-Off Broadway/Indie theatre company and presenting ambitious productions that resonate with the shared stories of our community. boomerangtheatre.org
