The Atelier @ Theaterlab The Mill Presents The Sacco and Vanzetti Project created by the ensemble with text by Lauren Holmes directed by Jaclyn Biskup Get Tickets The infamous trial of Italian anarchists Sacco and Vanzetti happened nearly 100 years ago. Yet the Italian radical tradition they represented has been nearly forgotten by contemporary Italian Americans. How did the descendants of people who were once considered dangerous outsiders end up on the side of anti-immigration reactionaries? A group of third-generation Italian-Americans wonders what could be if that radical tradition were unearthed and celebrated. The trial of Sacco and Vanzetti is the starting point for this exploration of radical history, family history, and forgotten cultural song and dance.
