1 date listedThis show is exactly what it says. Every week one of your favorite comedians interviews an expert on a topic they've always wanted to know more about. Every Sunday come hear the funniest interviews about neuroscience, astrophysics, mental health, and more! There's one version of science that's all about crushing dreams—testing hypotheses against harsh realities. But dreaming up those hypotheses is just as important as testing them, and it requires a much more creative, open-minded outlook. This week, **Sarah Adelman** interviews **Itai Yanai**, the founder of the Night Science Institute about the role creativity plays in science. **Sarah Adelman** is a stand up comedian and award-winning writer born and raised in NYC. She’s opened for Janeane Garofalo, Judy Gold, Isabel Hagen, and Mohanad Elsheiky, and tours nationwide. Sarah was named a 2026 Comedian to Watch by Gold Comedy and created and stars in Blow My Mind, a breakout science series on MadRealities with over 35 million views. **Itai Yanai** is a Professor at the New York University Grossman School of Medicine. His lab uses computational and experimental approaches to make contributions to understanding cellular plasticity in the fields of tumor progression, cancer drug resistance, host-pathogen interactions and bacterial genome regulation. Together with Martin Lercher, Yanai has also co-founded the Night Science Institute which champions a cultural shift in science by training researchers to embrace the creative Night Science process as an essential complement to rigorous hypothesis testing.
