  • In **Homeward Bound**, Korean adoptee, lyric soprano, and songwriter Jae Carelli challenges the myth that adoption is simply a happy ending. Blending fierce personal storytelling, contemporary songwriting, and classical vocal performance, Jae explores the seven core issues of adoption: loss, loyalty, control, identity, abandonment, trust, and shame. Through the collision of classical vocal precision and the raw vulnerability of original music, they unravel the complexities of displacement and belonging, family and culture, and a life shaped by decisions made before they ever had a say.
